We want money pro to work with shortcuts and automation

I’ve been using money pro for years and love it. Some of my favorite features is being able to photograph receipts and to see income vs expense reports. I’m currently working on staring my own business and no iOS app is as easy yet full featured as this for income/expense tracking. My only wish is to see a business version with inventory management attached and sales tracking. I’d like to be able to add in the total purchase like is already available but be able to break the purchase down into each material purchased and have it immediately moved into material or equipment inventory. Then to be able to use materials to create a final product inventory. There’s a few pc apps that come close but nothing beats being able have backup photos of receipts and have full features on a phone or iPad. I know QuickBooks is supposed to have all these features but the app is limited forcing you to use it through a browser.

I’ve been using this app for a while and have been extremely happy. Come to find out, I’m not even using all it has to offer! This the most complete, user friendly register and budget app there is. Thank you!

I have been using Money Pro for several years and before that I used Checkbook, which is from the same developer. I love it! The few times I’ve been tempted to switch to a different app I haven’t found anything that compares. I track my personal and business accounts and all the bills for them, and at tax time I generate the necessary reports. Anytime I’m not sure of how to do something I can contact the developer and get a response within 48 hours that always does the trick!

While using the platform, I had an idea that I believe could improve the user experience, and I would like to share it with you. Currently, I have noticed that Money Pro does not support account grouping, meaning a single account cannot have multiple subaccounts to manage different currencies. Although the main account balance is displayed in a base currency, the lack of subaccount distinction and multi-currency management can be somewhat limiting when handling multiple currencies. I would like to suggest adding the following features in future updates: 1.Subaccount Management: Allow users to create multiple subaccounts within a main account, with each subaccount dedicated to a different currency. 2.Multi-currency Display: In the main account balance page, display the balance of each subaccount, with the option to instantly convert or view balances in different currencies. 3.Flexible Currency Management: Enable users to easily transfer funds or exchange between different currencies across subaccounts for a more efficient financial management experience. I believe these additions would significantly improve the overall user experience, particularly when managing multiple currencies. Thank you for considering my suggestion. I used the app for years, when I got married I upgraded the subscription. I am really thinking to cancel my subscription now that I have only two months of 2025 and start over in another app, or maybe stay the year and to get another App for 2026, I will see. The strategy of the company is wrong making this kind of high price increases.

Subscription price was reasonable, but now they decided to change price to almost 3 times older price. I’m not paying triple so goodbye

Perhaps a feature could be added to register debts and credits through phone contacts, similar to how the Money Lover app does it very well.

This app is not in any way user friendly. It’s not intuitive. I’d rather go back to the Stone Age and carve things into a tablet than use it. I want a refund.

Basic app is good. Able to add info to purchases edit etc. but when I upgraded to gold to get access to financial institutions, there is no more editing of entries. Can’t even enter entries into linked accounts. App states you can only add entries from planned entries but won’t link planned entries to downloaded entries from bank. All entries from bank fall under classification “ balance adjustment payments” then can’t edit, add info even simply can’t classify entry. Total worthless and a waste of $69 plus tax. Cancelled subscription.

Over the years I have used multiple money tracking apps and I keep coming back to this one. The only thing missing is a budget report. Overall and compared to all of the other money tracking apps out there, this is the best I have tried including Money coach which I hated. I am an accountant and this app is far better than money coach I had rated this a 5 star. After contacting support twice and sending my files with no response, I cannot recommend this product at all due to lack of support

Received notice from Apple that annual fee was increasing to $29.99 from 2024 rate of $11.99 … $8.00 increase …

Great experience with in-app UI. Overseas user would like more functionality to connect with international banks. Desperate need to roll out widgets/shortcuts for iOS to quickly log expenses on the go!

Since iOS 18 quick input widget has gone. I used it all the time. Please bring it back. It’s just a crucial thing for such kind of app. I’ve bought both iOS and Mac versions mostly because of this feature. Thanks

Ultra confusing and difficult to use…!

It’s a great app but the subscription cost increase by 250% really is a bummer. Also, Apple only gives warnings close to the billing cycle so you still will be catching people off guard (especially if they want to export their info to another app). Even sending out a general email would promote transparency, and maybe offering a perk or two for long time users could mitigate the fallout from this price change. All in all thanks for all you do.

Cannot find how to add accounts

I’ve been submitting feedback to this dev for sometime now and no change. This app has not changed or had significant UI upgrades in years. I’ve been a long time user and asked for simple basic things like Light and Dark mode theme, or Siri integration. Even a new UI refresh would be nice. Now the annual subscription is increasing without any explanation or update to app. This is still a functional app, but it hasn’t integrated any recent major iOS update functionality like iOS 17 or 18. Apps like Money Coach are looking very appealing with all their features!

It crashes…constantly, on a ‘22 IPad Pro.

We have been using the Money Pro app as a family for years. It has worked well. However, without any warning or explanation from the developers the yearly subscription has gone up 250% ($11.99 to 29.99). That is unacceptable. There are plenty of good expense tracking and budget planning apps. We will be transitioning to one of them before the subscription renewal.

I’ve been using it for years and it is super. Does the job flexible I can’t do without it. Thank you for developing it. Keep going.

I used to have another app for years, but I switch to Money Spend and I don’t regret it. I’ve been using this app for more than 4 years and never had an issue with it. They regularly update it.

This is a good app because it helps me all day.

This app is perfect for personal finance tracking. You are able to use accrual based accounting and keep track of every cent of your net worth. the design from an accounting perspective is amazing. this is a great app for someone who understands accounting well. The only feature missing is the ability to export data at the budgeted account level. right now you can export to excel, but the data is not aggregated enough to really mean anything or perform any analysis on. Adding that small feature would unlock a world of analysis in Excel.

It’s a good app, but it’s incredibly annoying to have to scroll through everything with no order or alphabetizing! If there’s a way to do it please let me know!

I use this app to keep track of my accounts and those of my mother whose infirmity necessitates my handling of her accounts. From checking, to savings, to CDs, and for mortgage and credit card tracking this app handles it all.

I used this app for a long time without syncing to my bank and it was really good. I decided I no longer wanted to manually enter every transaction. The account balance it shows has never been correct since I synced with my bank. Paycheck deposits show up as $0, I’ve seen double transactions that aren’t on my bank statement. I’ve sadly started searching for another budget app.

Need the search option in the category section. also need the day wise report in the report section.

I was dependent on this app, however, have updated a spreadsheet to keep records also. I decided to try it on my iPhone. MISTAKE!! It wiped out my current transactions and now I can’t recover them.

I really liked this app in the past, but I’m looking for alternatives. It’s been a lot since new features were introduced. Reports are specially unappealing. Simple things like repeating transactions doesn’t work well. I cannot add shortcuts either to autofill some daily expenses. Almost every other app let you compare the current year against the past one (or the current month vs the past) and see how are you expending your money, example “this month you expend 10% more on food”.

I previously used checkbook HD for years and needed to switch so I decided to use money pro. I was able to import my data from checkbook HD. This is a great feature. The only problem I’ve had is recently it added the opening balance again on my cellphone. My iPad remained the same. So for now I deleted the app from my iPhone and will try to add again in a few weeks. I highly recommend this app.

There is no other Finances App like this one! Tried many others before and always missed something until I found Money Pro. The fact that have the ability to manage different profiles wich means different Accountings is awesome!

I’ve been using Money Pro for a couple years now and thoroughly enjoy everything about it, but would absolutely suggest opening up the bank links to more institutions, as well as for Apple Card. I feel as though Apple Card is becoming more and more relevant and a lot more users added all the time, and having the institution link would be awesome! Honestly, it’s the only thing holding me back from buying Gold right now. I use my Apple Card for everything so linking my bank account would only show my payments to Apple Card.

I paid for Gold service to get the banking downloads It did it only two times then stopped working. It downloaded the data but gives errors and errors I like. The old money it worked great. WILL NOT RENEW ANYMORE FIX THIS APP!

The App functionality is what I need to keep track of my checking account.

I don’t think I use all the features right. I find that the tutorials don’t match what’s available to me. I think it’s a great app just wish I understood it better
